The Emmaus Historical Society was formed in 1992 at the urging of the Parks and Recreation Department and the Emmaus Borough Council. The goals of the Society are to preserve the history of Emmaus in the Following areas:

1. Industry, Education, Religious Heritage, Genealogy, Hotels and Inns, Business’, Agriculture and Municipal Government.

2. To obtain artifacts, historic documents, newspapers and photographs relating to the previous items.

3. To make available for research and educational opportunities for all ages.

4. To shelter and preserve the memorabilia of Emmaus.

5. To obtain written and visual histories through interviews and newspaper articles

Our Biannual Picnics are held in June and September at community park in Emmaus at 5 PM on the third Wednesday of the Month.
